1.WORKTHROUGH VISIT
a. Conduct HIRARC for the following activities at both Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor Health Centre and PKD:
i. Fogging
ii. Gardening and grass cutting
iii. Food premise survey
iv. Larva survey
v. Out patient activities.
vi. Laboratory
b. Write report.
c. Prepare power point for presentation.
d. Hazard Identification: Identify all hazards( Biological, physical, chemical ,ergonomics , psychosocial and mechanical hazards)please take picture for all the hazards you identified as a proof.
e. Risk assessment: Do risk assessment and calculate risk rating
f. Risk control: identified present control measures
g. Classify the hazard into high, medium and low risk .
h. Propose control measures to reduce the risk for the all hazards identified.
2. Social Security compensation case or Workmen Compensation .
I. Choose 6 cases (accident or medical cases) from hospital Tanjong Karang and Hospital Sabak Bernam. Take patient photo to show the type of injuries/ disability.
II. Identified the benefits the patient can claim from SOCSO .
III. If the patient is foreign workers identified the benefits they can claim from Workmen compensation schemes.
IV. Calculate the amount of the benefit .
V. Do case reflections.
Provide patient Registered number and contact number as a proof real cases
3. Reproductive health.
i. Reproductive health impact due to occupational and environmental exposure.
ii. Pregnancy and fitness to work.
iii. Breastfeeding and work.
iv. Legislation related to pregnancy, breastfeeding, medical leave and removal from work.
v. Clinical approach and investigation of Male reproductive disorder due to work exposure.
vi. Prevention of occupational reproductive health problems.
4. Field work occupational health seminar.
During your attachment to PKD, Health clinic , Clinic Desa and Hospital please study the compliance of these agencies toward Occupational Safety Health Act and Regulations. During the seminar discuss:
a. Occupational hazards at health facilities by giving examples and photo of the hazards.
b. Discuss the Occupational Safety and Health Policies of the Hospital and PKD about it statement of intention , organization and programmes related to Occupational safety and health.
c. Discuss Occupational Safety and Health Committee at these facilities.
d. Discuss health surveillances programmes for the workers at PKD, clinic and Hospital.
e. Discuss prevention and control measures for the health care workers at Tg Karang Hospital and PKD , Health Clinics at Kuala Selangor and Sabak Bernam.
Discuss the role of MOH, Hospital Directors and other doctors in Occupational Safety and Health
